After I became a mom I was always looking for fun activities to do with the kids. So you can image how excited I was when they started building a park right across the street from our condo in Downtown San Diego.

If you live in San Diego or you are visiting San Diego with kids, this park is a must see. It was built on a parking lot next to the San Diego County Services Building. The park is located right on the water, has a beautiful breeze & large lawns.
I always recommend people to visit this park because you can make an entire day out of it.
Since this park is right on the bay, you can walk to it from your hotel & then make your way down to Seaport Village where you can lunch, walk around all the little shops & the kids can get their face painted by the local artists.
But I digress, let me tell you all about our local San Diego Attraction, the San Diego Waterfront Park & why I love it so much.
This park has a very large playground. The playground is split up into areas that are for little kids (1-5) and for older kids (7-12). Most of the time people do not follow the rules, (lol) and go on all the playground equipment even if its not age appropriate. The park has a really awesome REALLY FAST slide which kids between the ages of 7-12 would enjoy but I always see parents getting on this slide with their 2 year old & flying off & landing on their bum. So just be careful using those huge slides, they can be super duper fast & they also get a little hot in the warmer months but once you get the hang of it, the slides are really pretty fun.
The park also has swings that are for little ones & for adults. They have a large sea-saw & a lot of climbing areas for kids of all ages.

The waterfront park also has beautiful statues all around it. If you're looking for a lovely walk, going around this breath taking property will be a treat & you can also get a coffee & sit on one of the many benches around this impressive Waterfront Park.

One of the BIGGEST reasons that I really love this park is because of the water fountains. These water fountains are turned on year round & are super fun for the kiddos. Bring you bathing suits, towels, some snacks & you are all set for the entire afternoon. The kids love running around in the fountains & if they get tired they can relax on the big grassy lawn that is right beside these beautiful fountains.
